Barb, Mom, Granny and friend, passed suddenly at her daughter's home in Bothell, WA. on August 19, 2017. Deeply missed and remembered as a kind, loving and generous woman who would do anything for anyone. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She attended sports games, high school graduations, college graduations, weddings and births. She was an active member on the board at Gold Bar Nature Trails where she lived. There she enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, weekly pot lucks, carnivals, decorating for holidays. She was artistic, painted, crafted dolls and could sew anything and everything possible. But mostly, she loved beading jewelry with her beading group at Gold Bar. She could be seen driving her golf cart with a warm smile and a wave.
She spent much of her life volunteering her time and big heart to others. In the 1960's she volunteered for what was then known as the Spastic Aid Council that raised funds for the Boyer Children's Clinic. She continued meeting with fellow volunteers as recently as this summer. President of the PTA. In the 1970's she traveled across the country by bus with 150 teenagers in a drum & bugle corps and was a second Mom to many. She was known to all the kids for her "Granny Bag", filled with treats and candy at the games she attended. She was a Dog Groomer and Merchandiser for American Greetings.
Survived by brother, Jim Lee, her son Michael, wife Jana, children Marty (daughter Emma), Angela (husband Chris & daughter Madison), and Shawn (wife Ariana & son Henry). Her son Scott (son Stefan), her daughter Kris, husband Peter, children PJ (sons Ethan & Kamden), Matthew (fiancé Cassie, daughter Haylie), Marc (wife Roxanne, sons, Kaesen, Zander & Gage) and daughter Sara Beth. She also leaves her loving nephew Ken Moon and niece's Patti Bost, Jeri Lee and Toni Nielsen.
A celebration will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017, 1:00pm at the American Legion Post, 21920 SR 9 SE Woodinville, and WA. 98072. In lieu of flowers a fund has been set up in Barbs name at any Key Bank.
Arrangements under the direction of Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, Lynnwood, WA.
